Only connect.

These words of E. M. Forster, from the novel Howards End, perhaps mean even more to us today with our high-tech lives than when they were first published in 1910. A fuller quotation from the book is: “Only connect! That was the whole of her sermon. Only connect the prose and the passion, and both will be exalted, and human love will be seen at its height. Live in fragments no longer.”
